On October 23, 1894, the eleventh anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Ancon that ended the War of the Pacific, a few of the same stamps left over from 1883, overprinted with the face of ex-president General Remigio Morales Bermúdez, were sold to the public.  Printed: 3000 of the 50 centavos, 1000 of the 1 sol.
