It was later discovered
under close examination that all the “identical” triangles, each made
individually by hand, were really quite different from each other. Thus, it is possible to collect several
varieties of the same stamp with different triangles. For example, the
two-centavo vermilion (Scott 88), shown next, exists with eight different triangle
types.
